BC First Nations Emergency Services Society - Cranbrook, BC
Completed in 2025, this two-site backup power upgrade in the Cranbrook region supported facilities operated in coordination with the First Nations Emergency Services Society (FNESS).
At Aq’am Elementary School, the project involved the installation and commissioning of a new 80 kW diesel standby generator to support continued operation during power outages. At the Tobacco Plains Community and Health Centre, Wildy installed and commissioned a 60 kW propane standby generator, integrating it into the existing facility infrastructure. Each site presented unique logistical and operational considerations, requiring careful coordination and planning.
Wildy Enterprises acted as general contractor, overseeing the full scope of work across both locations and delivering reliable standby power systems for essential community services.
Across both locations, Wildy was responsible for overall project delivery, including civil works, electrical installation, fuel system coordination, and system commissioning.
The work was carried out in close coordination with FNESS, consultants, and the local communities, with a strong focus on scheduling, access, and minimizing disruption to active facilities. The result is dependable, long-term backup power infrastructure designed to support critical services and community operations when it is needed most.
